Season of Giving

I don't know about other people but I have no idea what I wanted if someone were to ask me what I want for a gift. Unless it's cash and lots of it. It's not that I am uninterested in life, because I am. It's not that I have everything, because I don't. It's just that I am happy with what I have, and cannot think of something I'd want.

I don't have an iPod or iPhone. Someone wants to give me some, but I'm not ready for it. I have no idea where to use it for. I'll get one when I'm ready. I'm just not ready now. If I really have to think hard what I'd want, then I'd say "time." I want time to catch up on reading and time to just sit and do nothing. I don't think they sell those at the stores.

Human Touch HT-7450 Zero Gravity Massage Chair

My mother just visited me. She's in pain from her arthritis. She's also diabetic, but is not getting much exercise. This chair would be perfect for her. I would like for her to have Human Touch HT 7450 Zero Gravity Massage Chair. If I can't be around to make sure she gets massages, this chair is perfect. It has all the features he's looking for. Softness, recliner, and much, much more.

Human Touch HT 7450 Zero Gravity Massage Chair is a perfect chair after a long day of work. I know my husband would love one. He's always sore on his arms from long hours of driving.

These are just a few things it does, and does it well:

Human Touch massagers are ideal for those who suffer from back pain, neck pain, spinal pain, poor circulation, arthritis, and diabetes-related foot problems such as neuropathy, skin problems, and foot ulcers.

Bunnies and Plates

I have noticed that plates are just like bunnies. They multiply more than I can keep up with. I don't like a disorderly house, but sometimes, I gotta live with it. I like my things in order. Sure I have lots of kids, but that's no excuse for disorderliness. I've been a Mommy long enough to know that if I want my house clean for longer periods of time, I clean up at midnight. That way, it will stay clean between the hours of 1 and 8AM. Aren't I smart or what?!

Depp At His Best

I like Johnny Depp. He's quite famous with his blockbuster shows in which he played Captain Jack Sparrow. I've been hooked since I saw Edward Scissorhands. Who can resist those scissor-hands? His gentle heart which is so hard to get into because he looks rather scary. He doesn't say much in this movie, but his facial expression brings out Edwards vulnerability, sensitivity and confusion to life. He touches everyone even when he can't.

Kim: Hold me.
Edward: I can't.

or this scene:
Kim: It must have been awful when they told you whose house it was.
Edward: I knew it was Jim's house.
Kim: You... you did?
Edward: Yes.
Kim: ...Well, then why'd you do it?
Edward: Because you asked me to.

It wasn't until he played George Jung in Blow that I appreciate him more. He played this drug deal who was at one time became very successful until he was betrayed. I forgot he was Johnny Depp and got into the movie. I got angry and frustrated at his misfortunes. I remember his conversation with his wife when he said:

George: What do you want me to say? I'm in prison. You should know you're the one who put me in here.

I can't wait to see Tim Burton's latest film, Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp. For trailers and more stuff about this movie visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site. Want more because it's still days away from the movie opening? To see Johnny Depp singing visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace

An Ode to the Titan

I am not poet, but Six Flags Over Texas have the most wonderful ride. The Titans. You climb up on this loud metallic clink in your coaster, then you reach the top. The very top. You look around you, and it's a wonderful world that you see with its twinkling light. You peer over your legs to admire the tracks...wait a minute! Where's the tracks, then you realized it's curving under you.

As you realized this, your head blanks out as you plunged downward into a dark abyss, but only for a few seconds before it lifts you up again. Way up into the sky as if to fling you out your seat so you can fly and land in the Superman Tower of Strength.

It's a ride not to be missed...yeah though you walk in the shadow of death...the ride is worth it.

For those who do not want to walk long distances between galleries. They have interesting collection of participating galleries starting with Rembrandtz Fine Gifts for Fun People.

I'm most interested in Butterfield Garage Art Gallery. I saw a painting there which is similar to Picassos by an artist named Sam Dee Thomas. In fact, all other art collections in this galleries are worth a deeper look. In fact, St. Augustine Artwalk, is the place to be on the first weekend of every month.

Dark Lover by J.R. Ward

I started reading this first book of The Black Dagger Brotherhood because it's a story about vampires. It's a story with an edge, and lots of sex. Well, the sex I could do without, but the story is awesome. It's a story about friendship, and tough strong males who couldn't quite survive without the help of a female. Talk about Achilles heels. This weakness is probably what draws people to the story. Everyone knows that even super heroes have weakness. There's Kyptonite and Superman for example. So, I am reading this book now, and it's fun. I just don't get much free time to read, but it's definitely worth spending time with.

You can buy the book here.

Help Ease the Pain

I have experienced several degrees of pain. There's temporary ones, but huge pain of giving birth, then there's a chronic ones of small back aches. The earliest memories I have of small-back ache was when I was seven and I was sweeping the floor. I remember intense pain in my lower back as I straightened up from a bent position. In the Philippines, we have those short brooms. I was too young to be suffering from back ache. I am very happy to find that Freeze It Gel could dull the pain.

My pain has nothing on my mothers. Years later, when my mother came to live with me, she has this pain on my arm. It comes, and it would stay for long periods. It's intense enough that she would take pain medication to relieve the pain long enough to sleep. It wasn't long before she was diagnosed with arthritis, an autoimmune disease. Sometimes, she would feel it on her legs. My mother is a hardworking person. She never hesitates to help anyone, even those who do not deserve help. She's a wonderful person that way.

My mother still suffers from chronic pain today. I feel that she's most deserving of winning a year supply of Freeze It Gel. She watches her grandkids; she works full time, and still find time to keep a neat house. She'll work through her pain, if that's what it takes to get the job done.

I believe that Freeze It would be a lot safer alternative to taking pain relief tablets and caplets. This product can help to relieve her painful ankle, knee and joints from standing all day at her job. Ease the pain of her sore muscles from slicing and baking all day.

I believe that Freeze It Gel can help with pain due to arthritis, muscle strains from exercise, muscular strains, and many more. This is why this product will be so helpful for my mother. She has all kinds of pain, and this will make her life better.

Please watch a video of this awesome product below.

Err...is this real or made up?

Bummer. He's a child for goodness sake. He's Harry Potter. What is he doing running around naked? Woudn't Valdimort get mad and cut off his ding-a-long?

More LOST Than Ever

I finally finished watching Season 1 of LOST. I feel that they should have made more and more shows. I just cannot wait for Netflix to send me Season 2, so I drove to a library that is farther away than where I live to get the second season of LOST.

That is what I call dedication when I am more than willing to drive the extra miles on a Saturday, with all those luscious books waiting for me to devour. I went, I grabbed them...and well, I didn't quite make it to the information desk before getting waylaid by a Library Sale.

I cannot resist them. I went, browse, and found some wonderful copies of children's books. I have Babar's book, which we do not have yet, some mini-books that I like. I even found an unopened VHS of Pride and Prejudice starring my favorite Mr. Darcy, Colin Firth.

I came home with the yummy LOST with Mr. Darcy as a bonus! Truly, you haven't live until you've seen Pride and Prejudice.

Ultimate Paintball Store!!

When I first started playing paint ball before it became mega popular, there were some companies which provided equipment that wasn’t the best. A friend of mine, Jim, once got cut with a substandard clip that had a sharp edge. Once he bought it, he didn’t want to take it back because the shipping alone was more than he wanted to spend, instead he just put on some tape to cover up the edge.

There is a great online site, Ultimate Paintball, which has been in business since 2002. The store in Missouri located not far south of St. Louis. In 2006 they moved into a large warehouse and they order in bulk for very low prices.
I use their web site because they offer a great paintball gun package, ship same day (lightning fast), and there’s a good chance you would get free shipping if you buy enough, and their customer service is great. They also play paintball themselves, and are knowledgeable about the sport, and can help you make decisions if needed.

I know they have several paint ball guns o their site like Tippmann, Spyder, Smart Parts, Dye, Empire, Draxxus paintball gear plus many other brands on their site.

Their top selling guns are Tippmann A-5, (boy would I like another one of those babies), Tippmann 98 Custom, Smart Parts Ion, Spyder Pilot ACS O (I haven’t tried one of these).

Warm Boots

I have a boots which looks like this but in baby blue. It is so nice and warm, I absolutely love it. Today was chilly here and these boots came in handy. I love the feeling. I can't fit my pants in one, so I changed into a denim skirt and sweats and I am all nice and comfy.

I am planning to go back to the store and get the one which looks like this. There's this store near us which sells fabulous footwear. I am so shopping there later in the day. I better find more ops to finance my shoe fetish.

Gotta Have Them Digital Cameras

Ever since the beginning of time, people have attempted to make memories last forever. They'd etched their images into rocks, paint events, to taking pictures when camera was invented. I like cameras. I specially love digital cameras. The first one I bought was 6 years ago. It was a Sony Cybershot 3.1 MP. How I love that camera.

I have spent tons of money on films and developing them. I am always so antsy waiting to see the pictures, and sometimes, I don't get to see the pictures because the film wasn't loading properly. I was simply overjoyed with the advent of digital camera I can afford. I still have that 3.1 MP cameras with me. It still takes pictures, good pictures.

Then a year ago, I upgraded to 10 MP Sony Cybershot. I like Sony and have been happy with them, so I stick to what works. I love this particular model because the video is big enough to play on my TV screen. I noticed that with 10 MP, I get less blurry pictures even with the subject is moving. Believe me, my favorite camera subjects are always on the move. I noticed that if I steady my hand, take a deep breath and inhale and I click the shutter, the picture comes out much better.

I am not sure how professional people do it, I am only an amatuer, but it works for me. I like to use my camera for taking artworks. There are so many, and I always misplaced them. HOwever, with digital cameras, I can take a picture of it and always have it with me. See this picture below. It's one of my favorites. This would have gone missing a long time ago, but I still have it here.

I would love to own this camera: Canon
EOS 40D Digital SLR w/ EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Zoom Lens

Oh, the things I could do with this lovely camera.

I'm Looking Forward to Holiday Movies

I just love it when Hollywood gets the Fairy Tale attack. The movie listed below are from USmagazine.com. I'm looking forward to seeing the following movie below. Some of them because I like McDreamy...though the longer I look at him, I see that he's aging. Every body does it. Still, he's sexy, don't you think?

Enchanted with Patrick Dempsey & Amy Adams on Nov. 21.
This classic Disney fairy tale, combining live action with animation, finds an idealistic princess (Adams, 33) falling for a jaded Manhattan divorce attorney (Dempsey, 41). Producer Barry Josephson tells Us: "He influences her with logic and guile while she influences him by opening up his heart."

I'm not sure about this one below, but mainly because the preview doesn't do anything for me.

Walk Hard: Jenna Fischer & John C. Reilly (Dec. 21)
Despite a pickup-truck load of failings - from drug addiction to serial philandering - rock star Dewey Cox (Reilly, 42) is ultimately saved by the love of his longtime backup singer (Fischer, 33). Fischer tells Us: "It's a satire of musical biopics like Walk the Line."

I am so watching this movie. I have read the book and wanted to see how this would turn out.

P.S. I Love You: Hilary Swank & Harry Connick Jr. (Dec. 21)
Though Holly (Swank, 33) has lost the love-of-her-life hubby, he returns to her in a series of letter he penned before passing away - which inspire her to find love again with a bartender (Connick, 40) who works for her mom. Producer Wendy Finerman tells Us: "It was the first time Hilary got to look pretty in a while - and not have to be so tough."

I'm watching this one because I like Heath in movies. Have you seen Knight's Tale? If you haven't, well, get off your butt and see it. It's so worth your time.

I'm Not There: Heath Ledger & Charlotte Gainsbough (Nov. 21)
It is me, babe! In this Bob Dylan biopic, Ledger, 28, plays the folk legend during his early Greenwich Village days, falling for a politically active French beauty (Gainsbough, 36). "They're beautiful together physically," director Todd Haynes tells Us. "But they also evoke something literate and optimistic."

Love Your Teeth? Get Dentemp OS!

Unless you have ‘teeth issues’ you really can’t appreciate how key a smile or eating can be when push comes to shove. This is how I come to appreciate this product Dentemp OS.

You’re in a meeting, you’re trying to focus on competing with the other ten people in the room, you notice that most of the competition belongs in a toothpaste commercial, their teeth must have batteries they are so bright and white, then, no, you didn’t win the lottery, instead, your grand prize is your filling or cap pops off. Now, instead of using high tactics to improve your presentation, all you can think about is that you don’t want to look like you spent the night under a bridge and wandered into this conference room, having appropriated the false identity of someone who was supposed to be here with your name and number.

So, if you have perfect teeth, if you have no flaws, if you fly with the angels every morning and have mint breath every morning, go read something else. But if you need a 60 minute cap or filling solution that will help you avoid pain and embarrassment, provides fast, temporary relief of pain and discomfort, with no mess, no mixing, something which replaces lost fillings and may be used to temporarily cement loose crowns, something that allows you to eat within 30 minutes of setting, something that has been tested and fully complies with FDA Regulations for Oral Care, the best thing you can get is what you need. For convinient and fast Dentemp OS!

The Great Cate Blanchett

I first noticed her in that 1998 movie, ELIZABETH. She conquered me! I couldn't stand THE GOOD GERMAN, a movie she was in with George Clooney. It's an adaptation from a book. After trying to watch it three times with the same result...me drooling on my pillow, I quit.

She was in another movie, CHARLOTTE GRAY, which was a book first with Sebastian Faulks. Now, that one is interesting. I had read the book first and got into the movie. Still, I like her best in her Elizabeth role.

She is great at playing Hepburn. They said she was in THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY, but I don't remember her. I guess I should watch that movie again and see where she is.

The Best of Credit Card

I heard from someone a while ago about how credit card is not really money spent. Huh? I mean, I thought the purpose of a credit card is convenience, and you're supposed to use it in place of cash. That usually means, if you don't have the cash, then slow down with the credit cards.

No matter how careful one is, the truth is, we're never living in our means. We go just a little bit over [if we're lucky] between paychecks. This is when you "borrow" money from the credit card. Before you know it, the balance is huge, you need balance transfer.

It's better to balance transfer if you must into a 0% credit cards. It's a great deal if you can get it. Zero percent interest means every penny you send the credit goes towards paying off what you owe.

Credit cards are necessary evil, the point is control.

Hair, Hair, Wonderful Hair

I am just thinking about hair again. I think I'd like a thicker hair. I have really thin hair.

I have tried different shampoos, but I have not found one to work so well. I think I might just have to buy a live aloe plant and squash juice of aloe into my scalp. I wonder if they do hair implant where it makes a girls long hair thicker.

I'm pretty okay with my hair, but having a thicker hair, not strand, because my hair strand is already thick, would be lovely!

Look at this Pantene commercial. It's the one shampoo I avoid as it flattens my hair into my scalp, but they do make nice ads.

"The Mist"erious Stephen King

My favorite Stephen King novel was Fire Starter. In the movie version of the book, Drew Barrymore plays the unforgettable little girl who had the suspension of dis believable role of the child who could cast fire. Barrymore went on to continue acting and has always been a favorite of mine to watch, no matter what role she has played.

The great story, The Mist, is deservedly coming to the big screen. No less an actor than Andre Braugher, in the top five of my favorite actors, graces the film. He has never had the really break out role that would propel him to the ranks of De Niro, Hanks, or De Caprio, but this may be it.

I could watch Braugher read from the phone book and be captivated. Add to that the only author who can hold my attention longer than the time it takes to flush, the only author who can actually make me give up needed sleep, you have the ingredients for one of the better Stephen King movies.

I didn’t personally think that The Mist by Stephen King could be translated to the big screen, much depends on suspense, isolation, cold, alone feelings, which I would not have dreamed would translate to the silver screen. Enter Shakespearean Braugher, and you have the makings of escape velocity. There’s something about the movie trailer which proves the point, you just want to keep watching more of it, there’s a presence, an impending thrill or something. Take a look and decide for yourself. I think this is going to be a good one, a really good one, one that will enter your dreams, keep you up at night, and perhaps just stay home from work the next time there is a fog.

I am so LOST!

I just started watching LOST this year. Actually, I saw the first episode last Sunday and promptly fell in love with it. I am lost in LOST.

I like that it doesn't feel like a TV series when I am watching it. I like lost for Jack's character. Then there's Kate and Sawyer. I have to admit, I like my shows to be peopled with a bunch of good-looking people. And why not, it's my entertainment.

Yep, it's why I watch TV show.

Beautiful Pictures

Every body gets overwhelm by something some days. Some people go to bar and drink vodka. Others go to the club dancing. I unwind a little different than the others. I like to browse through pleasing art images on the net. Or, I research actors and see which movies they appear. It's a fun occupation and I don't have to leave my house. I am such a homebody that I am actually happy rarely getting out of my house.

Homemade Meringue Pie

I think every family has a recipe they treasure and passed down through generations or children. We're no exception. We have our mango flavored meringue pie. Cooking and baking during holidays is a perfect time for the women and some men to get together and catch up on gossip. I have such wonderful memories of those times.

Mango Meringue pie calls for a good mixer to make those egg white really stiff. I remember taking my turn beating eggs with whisker. It can take a good half-hour to an hour to make them really stiff and ready. I don't remember having an electric mixer then. To buy one in the Philippines would have been really expensive. What sore arms I have afterwards. It's really worth it though because the pie is practically to die for. Shopping for a mixer is not so easy. I had spent some good money on a few mixer only to end up disappointed that my mixer did not perform to my expectations.

I'm sharing this recipe to my new generation, but with Eclectrics® Mixer. At Hamilton Beach®, they have extensive collection of Stand mixer. It comes in many colors, so it's sure to compliment your kitchen.

It great that he could take himself lightly sometimes.

Advice Column From A Man

From the advice column, "Dear Walter"

Dear Walter:

I hope you can help me. The other day I set off for work
leaving my husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I
hadn't gone more than a mile down the road when my engine
conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back
home to get my husband's help. When I got home I couldn't
believe my eyes. He was in the bedroom with a neighbor lady
making mad passionate love to her.

When I confronted him, he tried to make out that he went
into the back yard and heard a lady scream, had come to her
rescue but found her unconscious. He'd carried the woman
back to our house, laid her in bed, and began CPR. When she
awoke she immediately began thanking him and kissing him and
he was attempting to break free when I came back.

But when I asked him why neither of them had any clothes on,
he broke down and admitted that he'd been having an affair
for the past six months.

I told him to stop or I would leave him. He was let go from
his job six months ago and he says he has been feeling
increasingly depressed and worthless. I am 32, my husband is
34 and we have been married for twelve years. I love him
very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he has
become increasingly distant. I don't feel I can get through
to him anymore. Can you please help?

Sincerely, Sheila

Dear Sheila:

A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be
caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by
checking that there is no debris in the fuel line. If it is
clear, check the vacuum pipes and hoses on the intake
manifold and also check all grounding wires. If none of
these approaches solves the problem, it could be that the
fuel pump itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to
the carburetor float chamber.

I hope this helps.

Walter

Just Desserts

I think this is a well-written thing about cheating. Statistics show that when a couple divorce, they don't usually marry the person they cheated with. I guess you could say it has doom written all over it. Isn't that an equivalent to rebound relationship?

There's a man in Britain. He just bought a new Jaguar. He then cheated on his wife, but forgot the car is in his wife's name. She spray-painted it red, and advertised the car for sale at half the price. It's almost funny if it's not so sad that there's too many people who should stay put instead of stay.

So what's the moral of this story of an English guy and his jaguar? Don't cheat and buy a new jaguar at the same time! Or something similar.

And look at this...a great song by Rihanna's Unfaithful. The guy should have kicked her ass.

Lap Band in Woodlands/Houston/Conroe/Kingwood

Lap Band is the new solution to obesity and it is less invasive. The use a laparoscopic method so there is only a little incision in the abdomen. This method is also about 10 times safer than the Gastric bypass. If you're thinking the only way to be in shape is to get a surgery, then this is the safer option. At Woodlands Lap band, you can visit and meet with the doctors. There is a free weekly seminar to find out more about this procedure. Call them because sitting is limited.

How Much Does Hair Matter?

In another forum I visit, one girl got a haircut. It's short, and she's not very happy with it at all. Personally, I think she looks as sweet as ever. But she has this perception that only long hair is pretty. She was upset about the hairstyle.

There's really nothing to be done about it. It's all water under the bridge. In another 4 months, it will be long. Even Britney's bald head is now all grown.

Square Plates

At my local grocery store one day, I found a square plate. It was on the clearance bin. IT was sold for 3 dollars. I thought, what a great deal! I bought the last three. The problem is, having only 3 is not nearly enough! It's really beautiful! I only wanted dinner plates. There's already too many plates in my kitchen. Yesterday, I found the rest, and I was so tempted to by the soup bowl and the serving platters too...but hey, I am on budget, so I gotta save more before getting the rest of it.

Movies

I really want to see Elizabeth the Golden Years. The preview looks wonderful. I like the first one called Elizabeth. I just realized they cannot call the movie, Elizabeth The Second because that would make it a whole new different queen.

I am looking forward to it. I'd rather see it in big screen, but I don't mind renting the DVD if I missed the big screen. However, I would prefer the big screen because there's just nothing like it.

iFLOOR Unveils $1,000,000 Flooring Warranty

Worried that if you buy your floors online you won't get taken care of if something goes wrong which should be covered by warranty? Well, worry no more. iFLOOR just unvieled a million dollar Flooring Warranty which will cover the floors of their client. What's even better is this warranty is complimentary with every purchase. Isn't that awesome? Next time I'm re-flooring, iFLOOR is the place I'm going to get my floors.

I floor issued a press release, and you can read it below.
iFLOOR, America's largest online flooring retailer, today announced a $1,000,000 limited warranty designed to protect its customers from predatory manufacturer policies that exclude warranty coverage from online purchases.

The policy, which goes into effect immediately, offers up to one million dollars of coverage in the event that a customer's warranty claim is denied specifically because they made their purchase online. It is complimentary for every iFLOOR customer, and protects the buyer under the same terms as the original product warranty.

iFLOOR, Inc. CEO, Steve Simonson, came up with the program to combat "scare tactics" used by manufacturers of hardwood floors and laminate flooring. "Their idea is to discourage you from buying at a discount!" wrote Simonson in his blog "It's About Flooring". "This is not right! You deserve to save money! So we're going to take care of this problem once and for all."

And it would appear that federal law is on his side. Section 108 of the 1975 Magnuson-Moss Act, states that, "In general, tie-in sales provisions are not allowed. Such a provision would require a purchaser of the warranted product to buy an item or service from a particular company to use with the warranted product in order to be eligible to receive a remedy under the warranty."

Under iFLOOR's new warranty, a key provision allows for iFLOOR to "seek justice" on behalf of the customer in the event of legal action. According to Simonson, "I'm putting iFLOOR's money where my mouth is."

About iFLOOR, Inc.
Since 1998, iFLOOR.com has been the leading online and retail flooring company, with 36 local retail stores nationwide offering more than 70,000 products, including hardwood floors, laminate flooring, bamboo flooring and cork floors. iFLOOR.com is the largest online flooring retailer according to Internet Retailer Magazine, and was named by Inc. Britney Spear's BlackOut

I am amazed. I thought Britney Spears in done for. Blackout sold an impressive 124,000 copies its first day. Not bad, there are still other days after that. I just really wonder what gone so wrong in her life. She's got talent, and money, and for a while there, so in-love. I guess life is like that, so unpredictable.

There's also a series of pictures for Britney look-alike...but for heaven's sake, it must be slow news on the magazine. None of these girls look remotely like Ms. Spears.

Here's some pictures if you want to look at them.

Jennifer Garner and baby. This is another one of her good pictures too.
