Dollhouses

Have you ever thought of building a dollhouse? It's a great way to bond with your loved one over something creative. My grandpa and I used to fix up my mother's dollhouse when I was little. It was so much fun. I learned very useful terms like beams and joust and door frames. If you're a little idea-challenged like I am, there's a kit for sale for dollhouse miniature projects. I like this one below but it's on the high-end. This sort of looks like my house, except mine is a lot older and a little less sidings. Dollhouses is not just for children, but for adults also. I would definitely take this hubby up for myself. Check it out, I never knew there's so much I can do with dollhouses. It's awesome!

I saw this movie and I like it very much. This post might contain spoilers. It's a story about a girl from a very rich family, but that's beside the point. She went to Paris with a friend and got kidnapped. Fortunately for her, her Dad is a highly-trained killer. He went right on looking for her. It's a simple plot, but Liam Neeson is so hot going around killing people. Whew! So sexy! Have you seen it?

My Most Romantic Valentine

I have so many; it's hard to choose just one. Seriously, I've been taking and ruminating about this 'most romantic Valentine' idea. It's tough. There was a year when I woke up to slightly burnt toast, drunk from a smudge glass of orange juice and some lovely flowers. There was another time when I opened a beautiful heart-shaped chocolate, with a bite from the corner. It's the size of a small baby's teeth. I absolutely love it! There's another time when I get to dress up and eat out and go the movies with my husband. I realized after recalling all these lovely memories that valentines day ideas does not have to be expensive to me romantic and memorable! I must mention my sort-of-romantic and funny valentine. I was in high school. Most of the greeting cards are in English. It's a tradition that a boy will give a girl a card or flower for valentines. I guess I had a secret admirer, but he's not so vigilant. I must give him an A+ for the beautiful card he gave me. It was red, musical, with a picture of a gorgeous bouquet of roses in front and it played Debussy's 'Claire De Lune'. Then I looked at the card closely and closer still. Would you believe it? The card said, With Love to my Grandmother."

This year, for Valentines, I'd like to try something new. I'll make Chocolate Espresso Mousse. After all, valentines is not just for my husband and I, it's for our kids too.

Dog Whisperer

I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes! It reminded me of my 3rd child. My husband would hum a tune and he would always go to sleep. My youngest would always pretend to sleep when I say goodnight, but it doesn't last.

More Decorating Ideas

Have you ever look at your place and think that you need to spiff up the place? Have you thought of anything that would give your living room a zest? Have you considered something unique to decorate it? Decorating does not have to be traditional all the time. I have! That's how I come to appreciate this fabulous clock store where they have hundreds of collections. Not only that, they have pictures of grandfather clock that you might be interested in available so that you can imagine it somewhere in your house.

I have the usual books and figurine on the shelves, but what if I want something different? I had always thought that grandfather's clock means chunky and taking up a whole lot of space in the foyer. It's something to bump your toes in the dark, and perhaps your forehead if you're not thinking about it. That's certainly what happened with our grandfather's clock while I was growing up.

These days, they're the thing! Check out this Miller Grandfather clock. It's beautiful, and I bet no one would ever walk by it without noticing it. I love the iron framework that housed the pendulum. I'm thinking that the iron scrollwork matches my stairway. I know just the place for this one.

I think this is one of the most interesting election held lately. With Hilary, Obama and McCane, there are plenty of food for thought. Pineapple Express with Seth Rogen & James Franco

What a hoot! At one point, I thought I was going to pee in my pants laughing. If they have Oscars for comedy, then they should nominate Pineapple Express!

James Franco is spectacular as a drug dealer who's a little dim. Seth Rogen is one of his customers bought a special drug, so rare that there were only few people who has it. James and Seth together are very funny. That scene above? Hilarious. You have to see it to believe it. I do believe I'll watch this movie again in a year or so. It's that funny.

Bernie Mac Died

It's shocking how one person can be here one day and gone the next. Bernie Mac died at only 50 from pneumonia complications.

Jackman is just so sexy! Whew. Hot! If I get paid lots of money making out with Jackman, I wonder if it can still be called a job?

Romulus My Father - Starring Eric Bana & Franka Potente

I saw this movie last night. I think this might have been a true story of this little boy in the movie. Excellent acting, and so sad and depressing. In fact, if it wasn't Eric Bana, I wouldn't have finished watching it. I'm glad I did though. I don't know how any child would survive an experience, a life like that unscathed. I would difinitely recommend this movie. It's worth watching. The girl Franka Potente, was the same one from Bourne Identity. I'm surprised at how pretty she is, because she wasn't attractive at all with Matt Damon.

Love Actually with Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Kiera Knightly, Professor Snapes

I saw this movie recently. There was a scene that I never forgot in this movie. It's where Colin Firth, as a writer named Henry, went to France. His wife cheated on him and that's probably why he went away. While there, he fell in love with his Portuguese maid. One day, his papers got swept by the wind and ended in the water. His maid jumped after it, but not before she stripped down to her undies.

Another scene was in a car, while he was driving her home. She said in her native language that it's not her favorite time of day because she has to leave him. He said in English that it's his favorite because he has her in the car with him. I just love it!


Then there's this scene with an extremely cute and handsome guy who's in love with this girl, but she's married to his best friend.

Brandon Routh. Oh, my Superman. He's so cute! I get incoherent around sexy, cute people.



Christian Bale. I think he was in jail for assaulting his old mother and older sister. UK post didn't say much else. Still, he rocks are Batman and Laurie in Little Women. Still cute.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers. His eyes glows! Check him out in August Rush and Catch and Release.

Wordless Wednesday

That's Josh Holloway and Eric Bana up there. I was watching Lucky You last night. Now, I'm going to have to go and borrow all the Eric Bana movies I've missed. I can't wait til Lost DVD is out so I can ogle Josh to my hearts content.

Don't you think they're cute? I wish Josh Holloway would make lots and lots of movies so I can watch more of him!

We Like Sponge Bob

I used to dislike Sponge Bob because he's a smart aleck, and I thought would make for a bad role-model. Then one day, I was watching an episode because I was just too tired to get up and find the remote to change channel. I end up laughing my head off. It's that episode where Sponge Bob went to take an art lesson. From then on, I'm watching Sponge Bob all the time. I even bought the Sponge Bob cupcake to celebrate a birthday.

Bone Tired

What does it mean exactly to be bone-tired. I know bone cold. I've been there a time or two when I first arrive here. I do not know what bone-tired meant, but today I'm feeling it. I'm just so tired.

I want a fountain like this in my yard. I want it to face my bedroom French doors. I want to see it at night when I read my book. I want to listen to it when I'm reading in the morning.

See, I told you I'm tired. I never say so many wants until I'm cranky tired. I better take a nap.

Homosexuals Couples Can Get Married in California

There's no more reason not to tie the knot for gay couples. There's a marriage center on both ends of the country now. California and Massachussetts. Unless Massachusetts changed its mind and I missed the news.

I was going to say 'gay' couple, but that sounds 'sexist to me'. Because gay usually means 'boys' and 'lesbian' is for girls. I think people should stop saying 'gay' and use the term HOMOSEXUAL instead. Because isn't lesbian and gays 'homosexual'?

Or is the politically correct term now, 'same-sex'? I can't keep up. What with people losing their jobs by calling someone 'gay' even if they are. Or is it because they're calling them 'homosexual'?

Whatever is the correct term, congratulations to 'same-sex' couples. Only 48 more states to go.

Baby Mama, The Movie

Sometimes, I missed out on good movies because the title don't make sense to me. Baby Mama is almost such a movie. But there was no other movie to see and I just wanted to go out with my sister, Mom and daughter, so we went to see this one. I enjoyed myself very much.

Steve Martin with his long hair is weird. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were great here. I even find Greg Kinnear very handsome, in a rugged, uncombed-hair kind of way. I mean, look at him, isn't he cute? I just love watching cute and handsome men in movie. Why not, aren't we supposed to enjoy them?
